Favorite Product of the Month- September

Hi everyone, it’s time again for my favorite product of this month.

This month, I have been really loving the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream, which was a gift from a lovely cousin of mine. This is the first BB cream that I ever tried, and I really wanted to try it out for a couple of weeks before I review it. I definitely feel it deserves to be mentioned as a favorite product of mine for September.

What I love about Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream is that it has an SPF of 35 which is great. I also love the medium coverage that it gives to my skin. It covers all the redness and gives my skin a beautiful and natural glow. The best part is that it does not make my combination skin oily.

I have been using this everyday before I go to work. This looks and feels exactly like a tinted moisturizer but it makes my skin look amazing, so I’m not complaining. I have it in Light/Medium.

Has anyone tried this? Do you recommend any other BB creams for combination skin?

Mary-Lou Manizer- the best highlighter ever?

Hi my beautiful readers! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend.

I am here to tell you all about what I think is possibly the best highlighter ever (well, in my opinion anyway).  It is the Mary-Lou Manizer by ‘the Balm’. What a pretty name for a highlighter isn’t it? The packaging doesn’t disappoint either. I love anything that comes in  girly and colorful packaging. It is a gorgeous compact with a mirror, and comes with a ton of product.

This is a gorgeous champagne colored highlighter with such a smooth, creamy powder texture (if that makes sense). There is no product fall off when you apply this, and this seriously highlights so it is important to blend well especially if you apply it on the cheeks. I love applying it at the inner corners of my eyes.

This is my favorite highlighter that I own to date, in terms of texture, color and packaging. Has anyone tried this?

Mary-Lou Manizer cozts $24 and can be purchased online from http://www.thebalm.com.

Sephora 12HR Jumbo Liner- Review

Hi my beautiful friends. I am here to review the Sephora 12HR Jumbo Liner. The color I have is Purple (15). This is a gorgeous deep plum/purple color that is so pretty if you want a change from the usual black or brown eyeliners.

I fell in love with how creamy the texture of this liner is. It glides on very smoothly. This is a waterproof liner so this literally doesn’t budge once it sets in a few seconds. I used this on my lid as well as on my waterline, and it can also be used as an eyeshadow. It is also not much of a hassle removing it. I just use my Bioderma makeup remover or any makeup wipe.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced jumbo liner, then this is definitely it. It comes in a variety of shades so you will be spoilt for choice.

Has anyone tried these jumbo liners? What do you think?

OOTD- Peplum and Colored Denim!

Hi friends, hope you are all enjoying your weekend. My sister just left for Oman so I am missing her terribly at the moment. I enjoyed having her around and miss those days when we used to shop together before we each got married. By the way, you must follow her on Instagram (@nadya1983). She is as beauty obsessed as me so you will really enjoy her pictures.

Hope you like today’s OOTD. I took several pictures but unfortunately hated how they all turned out, except this:p

A celebrity favorite Mud Mask!

Hi again everyone! Wow, 2 posts in a single day. That is so rare coming from me especially with my busy schedule. But today is the weekend yaaaay.

I visited Bloomingdale’s with my sister today and we all know what happens when we go there. YESSS!!! Loads of makeup shopping. I did limit myself to a few products this time and I cannot wait to share with all you guys what products I bought.

One thing that has literally got me and my sis jumping up and down with excitement is the GlamGlow Mud Mask. This mask is loved by celebrities like Nina Dobrev (from Vampire Diaries) , Miley Cyrus and Natalie Portman among others. With a tagline that says “Super Sexy Super Radiant Skin”, who can resist?

It is made up of Volcanic Rock, French Sea Clay and Green Tea pieces, so this is also perfect for those people with sensitive skin. I spread a thin layer all over my face and neck with the spatula that is provided and leave it on my face till it dries (about 10 min). This smells good enough to eat. The only thing is that it tingles (A LOT), but I can definitely tolerate it. Once it dries, you just wet your fingers and exfoliate your skin using circular motions, then rinse off the mask. My face immediately felt tighter and looked brighter.

I also love the black packaging. It somehow looks so luxurious and posh in my beauty cabinet.

I bought my GlamGlow from Bloomingdale’s in The Dubai Mall (Dhs 320), but it is also sold online on http://www.feelunique.com for GBP 39.99.

Has anyone tried this?

The best drugstore eyeliner!

Hi my beautiful friends!

So I have finally found my favorite drugstore pencil eyeliner. What makes an eyeliner my favorite is it should be smooth and creamy and glide smoothly on the lids or waterline without any tugging. It should also be smudge proof. One eyeliner that does all this is the Revlon Grow Luscious Lashliner.

I have 2 colors, Onyx (Black) and Expresso (dark brown). They are so creamy and pigmented and I have been hooked ever since I started using them. I did read some reviews on Makeup Alley whereby a few people said it made their eyes water, so I am not sure how everyone else will react to them. It has been fine for me so far. These can seriously give Urban Decay’s 24/7 eye pencils a run for their money although Revlon Grow Luscious eye pencils have fewer colors in their range compared to Urban Decay.

This is my new HG eyeliner and the best part? They are dirt cheap:)

Has anyone tried them? Please let me know what you think.

In love with Tory Burch!

Hi everyone! I have had an unbelievably stressful week because of work, so I am so glad it’s the weekend.

If you have been reading my blog for a while, then you probably know how difficult it is for me to get shoes that are my size because I have such tiny feet. I have always loved Tory Burch ballet flats, so when I visited the store recently, I just happened to ask if they had them in my size. Surprisingly, they did have some of their stock in my size. I bought them in a navy blue color. I must say they are extremely uncomfortable, but I still LOVE them. I guess they will feel better once I have worn them a couple of times.

I also fell in love with the black Reva clutch bag at the store, so my darling brother (after he had enough of hearing me talk about it) decided to buy it for me as an early birthday present. He bought it online from Saks which turned out to be about Dhs 500 cheaper than how much they were selling it in the store here. I will definitely shop online for designer items from now on.

Have a great weekend my friends xx

Please excuse the fading henna marks on my feet:P
