Hi friends. Finally managed to get some time to write a quick post on a very interesting product that caught my eye at the drugstore- advertised as the world’s first in-shower body lotion by Nivea.
This product is aimed especially at those people who are too lazy or have no time to moisturise after showering. I personally love moisturising and never ever miss it after my shower.
To me, this does not eliminate the step of moisturising. Instead of moisturising after your shower, with this you moisturise during your shower. It is still an extra step and you still need to use your shower gel/soap (not sure if you get my drift haha).
In spite of that, it is not a bad product. It smells lovely, just how Nivea always smells. The skin is left feeling smooth and soft. However, I have always loved moisturising after my shower and I am not ready to give that up.
I picked up quite a few things from Boots in London. The Boots in Oxford Street was massive- 3 storeys high so you can imagine how much time I spent there.
I bought the Burt’s Bees Hand Salve because I am obsessed with constantly keeping my hands moisturised and I thought “hand salve” sounded interesting, perfect to use before going to bed. I currently have various lip balms from Burt’s Bees which I love.
The first thing that I absolutely have to comment on regarding this product is the smell, which is unfortunately awful:( I am not one to be bothered by the scent of any product but this just smells too strong and medicinal for me. I think it’s important to have pleasant smelling hands so this was a major turn off for me. I like the balm texture, it does not leave the hands feeling greasy for long and sinks in quite fast.
I have actually been using it for my elbows, knees and feet instead and find it much better for those areas rather than hands. So I am glad that it won’t go to waste. For now, I will stick to my pleasant smelling hand creams.
Space NK in London was my favorite place to be. I could be there for hours (I had my poor husband patiently waiting for me to finish for about an hour).
I came back with a suitcase full of skincare, most of which are recommendations from my favorite skincare guru Caroline Hirons. I know I won’t be using all these products at once but I will go through them eventually:)
Below is a list of all the skincare purchases I made and I can’t wait to try each of them. Have you tried any of the products I bought?
Hi again. Another brand of makeup that we do not have in Dubai is Sleek. Everyone raves about their blushes and eye shadows and about their excellent pigmentation and of course how affordable the brand is.
So off I went to Superdrug and bought a bunch of Sleek makeup. Please let me know what your favourite Sleek product is.
I just came back from an awesome holiday in London with my husband. I couldn’t wait to go to Selfridges and stock up on 2 amazing brands that we don’t have in Dubai- Nars and Charlotte Tilbury. I also bought something from Shu Uemura and Aerin both of which are also not available in Dubai.
Nars L-R Turkish Delight lipgloss, Chihuahua lipgloss, Satin lip pencils in Rikugien and Yu, Velvet Matte lip pencils in Never Say Never and Bolero
Cheek to Chic blush in ‘Sex on Fire’ and eyeshadow in ‘The Uptown Girl’
Shu Uemura compact foundation
Aerin Multi-Colour for lips and eyes in Natural
Anybody a fan of any of these products? I would love to know your opinions.
