When I have heavy eye makeup on, I make sure I take it all off using a dedicated eye make-up remover before I remove my face make-up using my oil cleansers.
I am onto my second bottle of the Vichy Purete Thermale waterproof eye make-up remover and it is brilliant. I have always hated waterproof eye make-up remover- in general because they are so oily and hated the feeling on my eyes. This one is relatively lighter, and takes everything off with 1 or 2 swipes of a cotton wool. It also doesn’t sting my eyes.
Boots usually has amazing offers which is when I stock up and this is an excellent alternative to other more expensive eye make-up removers in the market.
Anyone a fan of the Vichy Purete Thermale? What products do you use to remove your eye make-up?
Hello everyone. I know this BB cream is quite old and was released a while back but since I heard one particular blogger I admire rave about this, I decided to give it a try.
Firstly, the Vichy Idealia BB Cream contains SPF 25 which is great as I just use this after my moisturizer and I’m good to go, eliminating the need to use a separate spf. It is also paraben-free which is a plus point. It’s quite scented so for those of you are bothered by scented products, you might not like this.
This BB cream applies smoothly, feels hydrating and is a beautiful texture (not too thick and perfect for all skin types). As you will see from the swatch below, it gives a beautiful, natural glow and what I noticed is that it photographs beautifully. It does not really require to be topped up with a powder, however I do need a touch of powder on my t-zone after about 5 or 6 hours of wear.
I have been using it every single day for work ever since I bought it and I love it. Although it is a drugstore brand, it is not too cheap. I bought it for Dhs 170 from Boots. Unfortunately, it comes in only 2 shades- Light and Medium. I got the Medium shade which fortunately matches my skin tone perfectly.
Have any of you tried this BB cream? What are your thoughts? What is your favorite BB/CC cream?
I picked up quite a few things from Boots in London. The Boots in Oxford Street was massive- 3 storeys high so you can imagine how much time I spent there.
I bought the Burt’s Bees Hand Salve because I am obsessed with constantly keeping my hands moisturised and I thought “hand salve” sounded interesting, perfect to use before going to bed. I currently have various lip balms from Burt’s Bees which I love.
The first thing that I absolutely have to comment on regarding this product is the smell, which is unfortunately awful:( I am not one to be bothered by the scent of any product but this just smells too strong and medicinal for me. I think it’s important to have pleasant smelling hands so this was a major turn off for me. I like the balm texture, it does not leave the hands feeling greasy for long and sinks in quite fast.
I have actually been using it for my elbows, knees and feet instead and find it much better for those areas rather than hands. So I am glad that it won’t go to waste. For now, I will stick to my pleasant smelling hand creams.
Hi everyone! So I am really excited to be writing my first empties post and to share with you what products I have completely used up.
Kiehls Ultra Facial Moisturizer: I used this as my night time moisturizer because it is slightly thick. This can also be used by men. Would I repurchase? Definitely
Bath and Body WorksHand Cream: Only drawback is that these hand creams finish so quickly. Would I repurchase? I already have but I keep trying out new scents.
Bioderma makeup remover: This is my HG makeup remover. Would I repurchase? Already have
Bath and Body Works shower gel: I love their shower gels and it is the only thing I use. Would I repurchase? Already have, in different scents.
Lush American Cream Conditioner: This is amazing and I use it with my Lush solid shampoo. It leaves my hair smelling wonderful. Would I repurchase? Already have, in the bigger size.
Boots Botanics Organic Face Rosewater Toner: This is my second bottle. I really liked it but I stopped using it as it contains alcohol. Would I repurchase? No, I have replaced it with a Clarins alcohol-free toner.
Amouage Body Cream in Lyric: I LOVE the scent of this. It is so luxurious and long lasting. Would I repurchase? Yes, I want to buy the Lyric perfume as well.
Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Have you tried any of these products?
The weekend is finally here. It has been a really long and difficult week at work and as soon as I got home, I just wanted to have a hot shower then relax with my husband.
I then decided to take out all my Soap & Glory products (one of my wedding presents from my lovely cousin Sharifa). Soap & Glory attracts me first and foremost because of the pink color, so hard to resist is it not? Also, the packaging of their products are so much fun, I love reading the descriptions on them. All their products have a distinctive fragrance (very sweet), so if you are the kind of girl that loves sweet smelling fragrances, then you will love these products.
These are the products I used today:
Off your Face cleansing cloths
Glad Hair Day Ultra-Shine Daily Super Shampoo- (Amaaaazing product, I LOVE the smell)
Hand Food- (does not feel greasy)
Scrub Your Nose in it- (I love the feel of it on my face, it has really fine particles so it feels gentle on the skin)
Girligo Spray-On Body Moisturising Mist
Bright Here Bright Now instant-radiance energy balm
One ‘Pit’ Wonder Deodorant Stick
Flake Away Body Polish- (Love this body scrub)
The Righteous Butter- (The packaging promises skin that will feel like velvet and you know what? It does somehow feel like velvet)
How cute are their product names? Do any of you use Soap & Glory? What do you think of the products?
