Empties Part 1- Cleansers

Hello friends. If you wish to know what products I use in my daily routine that gives me near perfect skin, then my next few posts are a must readūüėä.

I have loads of products I have used up and I have decided to divide them into categories and will be showing you my empties in parts.

The first part contains all my cleansers that I have used up, be it morning cleansers, night cleansers / balms, makeup removers, etc.

The Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm and the Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm are both essentially the same and I love both. Pixi is way cheaper of course so if you are on a budget, then this is definitely close to the amazingness that is Emma Hardie. (Ready my review here pixi nourishing cleansing balm review) They are used at night as a second cleanse and I wipe off with a face towel. Both can be found online at www.cultbeauty.co.uk

The MV Organics Gentle Face Cleanser is my first MV Organics product. I decided to try this brand because my sister raves about it. I used this cleanser in the morning and it is so gentle and does not dry the skin.

I have reviewed the Vichy Purete Thermale before (Vichy Purete Thermale Review)  and it’s my favorite eye make-up remover and already almost finished with my second bottle.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and the Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser are both amazing morning cleansers. Out of the 2 however, I would pick Oskia as my personal preference is a gel cleanser. Both have been repurchased several times. Both can be found on www.cultbeauty.co.uk.

And last but not least, I have lost count of how many bottles of the Body Shop Chamomile Oil cleanser I have used and will continue using. I use it to remove my makeup every single night as a first cleanse.

Read about my holy grail cleansers which I blogged about before on empties-my-holy-grail-cleansers

Stay tuned for more Empties post and please comment if you want me to post about anything in particular or any skincare review.

Pixi skintreats Nourishing Cleansing Balm- review

Hello my beautiful friends.

Lately, I have been trying to get my hands on as much skincare products as possible from Pixi skintreats. I find them highly affordable and after being so well known for Glow Tonic,  I knew the rest of the products would be worth trying.

I got my hands on the Nourishing Cleansing Balm as I was curious to know how it would compare to my favorite cleansing balm of all time- the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm.

Firstly, this smells lovely and pleasant. It is a thick texture due to it containing Shea Butter. I use it as a second cleanse every evening and just like the Emma Hardie one, the balm turns to oil once applied. I then remove it with a wet flannel.

This is definitely much thicker than Emma Hardie so I make sure I use a small amount and I also ensure I properly take it all off using the flannel. This is best for dry/dehydrated skin due to its Shea Butter content. If you have oily skin and don’t want a thick buttery balm on your face, then definitely avoid this. I have combination skin but this worked fine for me and didn’t give me any breakouts.

While I do love this is as a more affordable option,  I still prefer my Emma Hardie cleansing balm because it is lighter (and oilier) and is much easier to remove.

If you are on a budget and if your skin can take Shea Butter,  then definitely go for the Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm.

I bought mine from Cult Beauty and it costs £18 compared to the much more expensive Emma Hardie moringa cleansing balm which costs £38 for the normal sized jar. (I am definitely going to keep the Emma Hardie one as a treat maybe once a year).

Has anyone tried this?  What ate your thoughts? What is your favorite Pixi skincare product?

Empties- my holy grail cleansers

image

I surprisingly finished all my favorite cleansers around the same time. Thank God I always have back ups for these.
These are repurchases and my skincare staples at the moment and nothing comes close at the moment:)

The Body Shop Camomile cleansing oil is my favorite first cleanse which I use to dissolve all makeup every night. It is usually makeup that I wear to work. It also smells so nice and pleasant and is easy to wash off.

After Body Shop,  I usually go for the Emma Hardie cleansing balm for a second cleanse to ensure my skin is really clean and there is no traces of makeup/dirt left. I have spoken about this product countless times and it is a cult product. It is expensive but so worth it. Once you are hooked,  there is no looking back.

Another pricey cleanser I have been hooked on for my morning cleanse is the Tata Harper purifying cleanser. It leaves my skin nice and clean every morning and smells luxurious. It is also non foaming which is always the best option for a cleanser.

What are your holy grail cleansers?  Which skincare product have you finished and loved lately?

Review- Charlotte Tilbury’s Multi-Miracle Glow

Hi friends. A few months ago I ordered a bunch of Charlotte Tilbury products from Selfridges and so far I am loving each and everything from her makeup to skincare products.

Lately, I am obsessed with her Multi-Miracle Glow. It can be used as a balm cleanser or a leave-in mask. I actually apply it every night on to my dry skin and massage it in. I then rinse it out or use a wet flannel to wipe it off. It actually leaves my skin literally baby soft and clean and it does not feel stripped off or dry. I also love the scent. The product is baby pink in color (so lovely) and is a gel-like texture.

I have also used it as an overnight leave in mask which leaves my skin soft, smooth and hydrated although next time I will probably leave it for just an hour and wipe it off as it can spoil my sheets.

The Multi-Miracle Glow can also be used as a skin SOS on dry areas like knees, elbows, even cuticles- how awesome is that?

Charlotte Tilbury products are quite pricey but they are worth it as they are luxurious and high quality with excellent packaging.

What are your favorite products from her skincare/makeup line? Would love to know your opinions.

My Night Time Skincare Routine

Hi everyone. I thought I would finally share with you my night time skincare routine. I haven’t shared my skincare routine before because I keep experimenting with products and love trying out new skincare.¬†

I am currently loving these products every night:

Cleanser
I started using the Lancome Galatee Confort cleanser after reading about it in Caroline Hirons blog (www.beautymouth.com). It is extremely gentle and also doubles as a makeup remover. If I do have makeup on, I make sure I do a pre-cleanse first with the Bioderma make up remover.

image

Toner
The Lancome Tonique Confort is a hydrating toner and does not feel like it strips the skin of its natural oils (like most other toners do).

image

Eye Cream

I use the Clarins ‘Special’ Eye Contour Balm under my eyes. I love it because it is hydrating and non greasy.

image

Serum
I use the Olay Regenerist Night Renewal Elixir at night. I love how it makes my skin feel and a great plus point is its affordable price.

image

Moisturizer
I recently started using the Nuxe Prodigieuse Anti Fatigue night cream. It feels rich and luxurious, yet it immediately sinks into the skin leaving it healthy looking and so soft. I also love how it smells.

Special treatment

Once a week I use the clarins Skin Beauty Repair Concentrate SOS treatmet serum and also the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening toner (both recommendations by Caroline Hirons).

This routine works perfectly for me at the moment and I wake up with skin that looks healthy and supple.

Do you use any of these products? Any other products that you recommend?

Amazing skincare line that I love!

Hi friends. I know it has been forever since my last post but I am trying to take it easy these last few weeks. I took sometime off work and I am just home taking some much needed rest.

In my last post, I told you all about the amazing body oil that I was using from Omorovicza  (https://naysdesires.wordpress.com/2012/12/02/favorite-product-of-the-month-november/).

For the past few weeks, I have also started using their Gentle Buffing Cleanser and Balancing Moisturiser. I must say these 2 products have blown my mind away. My skin has become more even toned and sooooo soft and smooth. I can literally go out with no stitch of makeup (not even powder) and my skin looks amazing.

I love the cleanser because it has really tiny particles that gently scrub the skin. It is not harsh at all because I use it both morning and night and it has definitely not dried my skin up. I also use the moisturiser in the morning and at night. The moisturiser does not contain SPF so I always make sure I apply SPF in addition to it in the mornings.

I can’t recommend these products enough and I am definitely looking forward to trying more products from Omorovicza. They can be bought online from http://www.omorovicza.com.

Have you tried any products from Omorovicza?

Shu Uemura – White Recovery EX+ Brightening Cleansing Oil Review

I bought this cleansing oil last year in July when I was on holiday in Malaysia. Shu Uemura isn’t available in Dubai but I have heard a lot about this brand especially its world famous eyelash curler, so I had to step in to the store to check out their products.

One of their Sales Assistants did a small demonstration of how to use this brightening cleansing oil and I was instantly sold. It is a makeup remover and cleanser in one. I first put 2 or 3 pumps of this in my dry hands and apply it on my dry face (full of makeup). You actually see it dissolving all the makeup. I also put it on my eyes and there is no irritation whatsoever. Once that is done, put a small amount of water in your hands and then rub your face. The oil then turns into a cleanser (it turns white in color). You then wash it off your face.

Now I am always careful about putting any type of oil on my face as I am worried about breakouts. But this is not too oily and does not leave an oily residue on your face. It removes all traces of makeup, although due to force of habit, I make sure I remove my eye makeup with any cleansing wipes before using the oil.

The packaging is great, and the bottle is very large therefore this will last me quite a long time. Strongly recommend!!

Has anybody tried this or any other Shu Uemura product? What are your views about it?
