Hi friends, it’s been months since I reviewed a product so here goes…
In terms of makeup, the moment I reach out for a particular product every single day, then I know this is it!! I love it and it is worth blogging about and telling people about it.
The product in question this time is the Gosh Contour N’ Strobe Kit in the shade Medium . Anyone who knows me well, knows that my favorite contour palette is the one from Charlotte Tilbury and I haven’t found a good enough replacement until now.
Gosh is a drugstore brand and none of its products have disappointed me yet. The darker contour shade in this palette is seriously the BOMB! It is heavily pigmented, blends easily and gives a contour that is on FLEEK. I’m obsessed. The blush shade is also quite pretty and gives a natural glow.
Only gripe with this palette is the highlighter shade. It is quite a pretty color but quite difficult to get any product on my brush for some reason.
All in all, if you are new to contouring and want something that is reasonably priced, then definitely go for this.
Gosh can be found in Centrepoint stores in the UAE.
Do you recommend any other drugstore contour palette?
Hello everyone. I know this BB cream is quite old and was released a while back but since I heard one particular blogger I admire rave about this, I decided to give it a try.
Firstly, the Vichy Idealia BB Cream contains SPF 25 which is great as I just use this after my moisturizer and I’m good to go, eliminating the need to use a separate spf. It is also paraben-free which is a plus point. It’s quite scented so for those of you are bothered by scented products, you might not like this.
This BB cream applies smoothly, feels hydrating and is a beautiful texture (not too thick and perfect for all skin types). As you will see from the swatch below, it gives a beautiful, natural glow and what I noticed is that it photographs beautifully. It does not really require to be topped up with a powder, however I do need a touch of powder on my t-zone after about 5 or 6 hours of wear.
I have been using it every single day for work ever since I bought it and I love it. Although it is a drugstore brand, it is not too cheap. I bought it for Dhs 170 from Boots. Unfortunately, it comes in only 2 shades- Light and Medium. I got the Medium shade which fortunately matches my skin tone perfectly.
Have any of you tried this BB cream? What are your thoughts? What is your favorite BB/CC cream?
So I have finally found my favorite drugstore pencil eyeliner. What makes an eyeliner my favorite is it should be smooth and creamy and glide smoothly on the lids or waterline without any tugging. It should also be smudge proof. One eyeliner that does all this is the Revlon Grow Luscious Lashliner.
I have 2 colors, Onyx (Black) and Expresso (dark brown). They are so creamy and pigmented and I have been hooked ever since I started using them. I did read some reviews on Makeup Alley whereby a few people said it made their eyes water, so I am not sure how everyone else will react to them. It has been fine for me so far. These can seriously give Urban Decay’s 24/7 eye pencils a run for their money although Revlon Grow Luscious eye pencils have fewer colors in their range compared to Urban Decay.
This is my new HG eyeliner and the best part? They are dirt cheap:)
Has anyone tried them? Please let me know what you think.
Hi my lovely friends! It is time again for my favorite product of the month. Time does fly doesn’t it?
This is a product I was going to review about a week ago, but since I loved it sooo much, I thought it better to choose it as my August favorite. It’s the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow in ‘On and On Bronze’. This is a gorgeous bronze colored cream eyeshadow that is perfect to wear on its own or as a base. I wear it on its own because it is such a pretty color. I apply it with my finger, and this seriously dries very fast, so you have got to be fast in spreading it all over your lids.
I wear this to work mostly, as it’s a neutral color that does not look too heavy or shiny and this seriously lasts for about 10 hours without creasing or smudging. The best part- it costs only about Dhs 45, which is awesome!!!
Have any of you tried this? What do you think?
P.S. Thanks to my sister Nadya for the pic (she is leaving Dubai soon, so i’m kind of panicking). My camera is still not working 😦
Me and my husband spent last weekend in Muscat, Oman with my sister. One thing my sister and I have always loved to do together is shopping for makeup and skincare. I was seeing her after 3 months so we just had so much fun talking makeup and fashion. I also went through her amazing collection of makeup and I noticed she had a lot of cool stuff from drugstore brands.
So my darling sister took me for drugstore makeup shopping next day and these are the awesome stuff that we bought together.
