Hi friends. So I recently picked up 3 of the newly launched Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks in Hot Pepper, Nude-ist and Peach Club.
These are beautifully packaged like lip glosses but have a matte finish and they remind me of Lime Crime Velvetines. While the LC Velvetines are so ‘in your face’ bright, these Bourjois ones are more wearable although they are very pigmented. They feel silky smooth while applying and the best part is I don’t have to worry about touch ups during the day even after I have eaten.
The colors I picked are fantastic and I wish I can buy all the available shades. I should have picked any of the pink ones too.
These cost Dhs 76 each which is a bit pricey for a drugstore brand but still worth it.
Any recommendation for another shade I should try too?
I recently bought the Inglot Sleeks Cream lipgloss in 109. I have a lot of liglosses and I certainly don’t need anymore, but what actually drew me to this is the color. I love the purple color and I don’t own any similar shade.
This is a fabulous lipgloss. It is so moisturizing, light and non-sticky. It smells like vanilla and the purple color is so wearable. Most purple shades of lipsticks/lipgloss that I come across are not easy to wear. The best part is that you can apply it once on your lips, and it comes out as a sheer purple shade. If you apply more coats, it comes out a bit stronger but still a gorgeous purple.
These contain Vitamin E which is why it feels like a lipbalm. These lip paints come in a gorgeous array of pinks and coral colors, I loved every single one of them. The packaging is amazing too, love that you can keep it upright on the dressing table because it has got a flat top.
February is nearly over and it’s time again for my monthly favorite product of the month. Since January’s favorite was a skin care product, I decided to pick a makeup favorite this month. I don’t just pick any random product as my favorite, I make sure I choose a product that I have been using regularly for at least a month and something which I highly recommend to people.
The Illamsqua Intense lipglosses are just divine. I usually don’t go for sheer lipglosses, as I love to have intense color on my lips. These lipglosses are very pigmented. If you like bright colors, then definitely go for these. They are a combination of lipstick and lipgloss (strong color and lipgloss shine). I also adore the applicator, different from other lipglosses.
I love all the colors they have but these are the three I went for, aren’t they gorgeous?
Each costs AED 100. Illamsqua is sold in Bloomingdales and Areej stores.
