Hi everyone. I know it has been so long since my last post but I have just been too busy juggling work as well as family and my home.
I am here to tell you about a Lush product that I was literally obsessed with last month and still am. It is a hand and body lotion called Karma Kream. For me, a body lotion or moisturiser becomes my favorite if it has a long lasting scent and leaves my skin really soft and smooth. Lush’s Karma Kream does both.
I use this every morning before I go to work and I still smell it on me when I come back home by 5. It smells kind of citrussy because it contains orange flower and patchouli oil. Now this scent is not for everyone. I think some people might find it too strong and overpowering. For instance my sister and aunt fell in love with it, but unfortunately my husband hates it:( so I avoid using it while I am at home with him.
Has anyone tried Karma Kream? Do you love it as much as I do?
Hi everyone! So I am really excited to be writing my first empties post and to share with you what products I have completely used up.
Kiehls Ultra Facial Moisturizer: I used this as my night time moisturizer because it is slightly thick. This can also be used by men.
Would I repurchase? Definitely
Bath and Body Works Hand Cream: Only drawback is that these hand creams finish so quickly.
Would I repurchase? I already have but I keep trying out new scents.
Bioderma makeup remover: This is my HG makeup remover.
Would I repurchase? Already have
Bath and Body Works shower gel: I love their shower gels and it is the only thing I use.
Would I repurchase? Already have, in different scents.
Lush American Cream Conditioner: This is amazing and I use it with my Lush solid shampoo. It leaves my hair smelling wonderful.
Would I repurchase? Already have, in the bigger size.
Boots Botanics Organic Face Rosewater Toner: This is my second bottle. I really liked it but I stopped using it as it contains alcohol.
Would I repurchase? No, I have replaced it with a Clarins alcohol-free toner.
Amouage Body Cream in Lyric: I LOVE the scent of this. It is so luxurious and long lasting.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I want to buy the Lyric perfume as well.
Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Have you tried any of these products?
I am so excited to share with you my review of Lush Emotional Brilliance lipsticks. I visited the Lush store in Mirdif City Centre with my sister, and we literally went crazy over the array of colors they had. We ended up picking 2 lipsticks, 1 cream eyeshadow and 1 eyeliner.
The 2 lipstick shades that caught our attention were a bright pink color called ‘Believe’ and a beautiful dusky rose color called ‘Perspective’. The colors are so vibrant and feel lightweight on the lips, and are not sticky. ‘Perspective’ is perfect for when you have got heavy eye makeup on, and you want a neutral (but not nude) color on your lips. Believe is a gorgeous pink color, which should be paired with very simple eye makeup. I can’t get over how pretty this shade is. It is the perfect pink and is sure to grab attention. I LOVE it!
I also love the packaging of this makeup range, it is so simple, fuss-free and easy to use. Another plus point is that these lipsticks just cost 85 Dhs, which is such a steal.
Have you tried any lipsticks from this range? What other colors do you recommend?
Left: Perspective Right: Believe
Thanks to my lovely sister for these pics. My camera just stopped working:( so I am unable to take any pics for my blog. I need to buy a new camera ASAP, but in the meantime, my sister (who owns practically the same makeup and skincare products as me) will be doing swatches and providing me with all the pictures.
About a week ago, my sister and I visited Lush and bought a bunch of things. I don’t know what it is about that store that just makes me want to try everything:) We also bought a couple of things from their Emotional Brilliance makeup range, that I will be reviewing soon.
One of the things we bought was the Buffy Body Butter. This is made of Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter and is used like a soap on damp skin. The SA told us that after using this, we do not need to apply body lotion.
I tried this product and I must say I am in LOVE! It is so rich and has tiny particles (made of ground rice and ground almonds) which scrub the skin very gently. So you get intense moisture as well as exfoliation which is perfect. After using it all over your skin, you just rinse with water and pat dry. It is perfect for people with dry skin, as it is extremely moisturizing. Just be careful, as it leaves the bathtub very slippery.
Do you recommend any other Lush Body products? Have you tried Buffy? What do you think?
It’s time again for my favorite product of the month June. This time it is a hair product. I have read such good reviews about Lush solid shampoos and all Lush products in general, that I couldn’t resist stopping by a Lush store to take a look at what they have.
I already have a pretty good hair routine, but I thought what the heck, I don’t mind trying something new. I picked out the solid shampoo in Cinammon which I was told was good for hairfall. I was also told by the Lush SA that I shouldn’t use this shampoo without conditioner as it could be drying, so I also bought the American Cream conditioner.
I have been using these 2 products for about a month now, and I seriously LOVE them and am addicted. It takes getting used to, using a solid shampoo but after using it about two times I got the hang of it. The cinnamon solid shampoo smells AMAZING. I just wet it and run it through the length of my hair about 3 or 4 times and it does an excellent job of leaving my hair squeaky clean. I store my shampoo in a Lush shampoo bar tin, which keeps my shampoo dry (I make sure I leave the shampoo bar out to dry, before I put it into the tin, to avoid it from melting).
The American Cream conditioner is not as thick in consistency as my other conditioners, but it does the job. What I love the most about it is the scent it leaves on my hair even 2 days after washing which is great.
I will definitely repurchase the shampoo bar once I finish this (I was told it takes about 3 months to run out). It leaves my hair soft, smooth and silky and I am all for using more natural products for my hair. I love the conditioner solely for the smell, but I believe any other conditioner can do the job.
Has anyone tried these products? What other Lush products do you recommend?
