Clinique Chubby Stick- Review

Hi friends,

I can never resist buying a skincare/makeup product especially if it is hyped by most beauty bloggers. After seeing so mnay bloggers rave about the Clinique chubby sticks, I knew I had to get myself one.

I bought mine in the shade 06  ‘woppin’ watermelon’ which is a bubblegum pink color. As you can see from the swatch, it is a very sheer pink color. It is moisturizing and glides on smoothly on the lips. This cost me Dhs 108.

In my opinion, this is a basic lip balm and there really is nothing special about it to justify it’s high price. I am better off with a Body Shop or Burt’s Bees lip balm which is way cheaper and just as moisturizing as the Clinique chubby stick.

Has anyone tried this and thinks differently?

NOTD- my favorite red nail polish

Hi my lovely readers! I am so happy this weekend because we have a long weekend and I so needed a break from work. I am having a lovely time relaxing with my husband and family.

Today’s NOTD is a gorgeous red nail color from Pixi called ‘Tomato’. Pixi’s nail polishes are sooo amazing and are opaque after just one coat.

Have you tried any nail polish from Pixi?

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill silk eyeshadow- Review

Hi everyone! Last weekend, my sister and I went to Bloomingdales in Dubai Mall to do some makeup shopping. We always make sure to visit this store whenever she is in Dubai. This time we decided to treat ourselves with something from Giorgio Armani.

We have previously tried the  Eyes to Kill Excess mascara and the Skin Fabric Foundation (which are both AMAZING). This time we took a look at their range of silk eyeshadows. These are similar to the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre eyeshadows.

We both picked No. 4 which is a beautiful dark greyish color with coral specks. We actually spent soooo much time at the counter as we couldn’t decide which color to buy. This costs 145 Dhs and it is surprisingly cheaper than the Chanel eyeshadow which costs around 160 Dhs, although the Chanel one comes with a little brush which is quite useful.

If I were to compare between the two, the Giorgio Armani has a powdery finish, whereas the Chanel one is more of a gel-like formula, but I love both. I am actually thinking of picking another color from the Giorgio Armani range. Has anyone tried these? Any other color that you recommend?

OOTD- Day out to the movies

Hi everyone, I am back with another OOTD post. I recently went to Miss Selfridges and on my way out of the store, I noticed a ‘body chain’ that I just could not leave without. It just perfectly glams up any casual outfit.

I wore this when I went to the movies with my husband today. I watched Snow White and the Hunsman. I loved the movie.

Hope you like my outfit.

My new Bath and Body Works goodies

Hey friends! How has the week been going? I can’t wait for the weekend as usual. I am just dying to watch Snow White and the Huntsman. I have been really busy this past week as I had family visiting Dubai.

I visited Bath and Body Works in Mirdif City Centre and I was so happy to see that they had fantastic offers. I bought myself quite a few things as it is so difficult to resist once you are in there.

On offer were 5 travel sized fragrance mists for 75 Dhs, which comes with a free pink makeup pouch. These travel sized fragrance mists usually cost 25 Dhs each so this is an amazing bargain. I chose Cherry Blossom, Country Chic, Paris Amour, Sea Island Cotton and Carried Away.

I have started using Paris Amour, and I LOVE the fragrance. Since I am so bad at describing scents, I took the help of the Bath and Body Works website which describes it as a ‘bubbly blend of white tulips and pink champagne’. It really smells amazing. I also bought the Paris Amour shower gel which I haven’t started using yet.

One of the things I also bought was the Nourishing Body Lotion Tahiti, Sweetie with monoi oil by True Blue Spa. This literally smells DIVINE. The website describes it as a ‘tropical fruit fragrance’ and it combines ‘Coconut Oil and the Tiare Flower’. This is so moisturizing and the smell somehow reminds me of vacation time and holidays taken.

I also got the Anti-Bacterial deep cleansing hand soap for just Dhs 9. The actual price is Dhs 20. What a bargain!

Have you tried any of the products that I bought? What is your favorite Bath and Body Works scent?
