Guest Post: Look and Feel Good This Summer!

Hi my wonderful readers! I know that I have  completely disappeared from the blogging scene. This is because it is Ramadan, and I am just too busy practically the whole day to even have enough time to blog. I am at my parents home everyday for Iftar and my cousin was also visiting, so we were doing lots of shopping.  I promise to post more regularly as soon as Ramadan ends.

I have got a fabulous guest post today from Anya Sarre. She is one of Hollywood’s most influential trendsetters. A nationally recognized celebrity stylist, Sarre is known for her impeccable eye and ability to tie any look together with the perfect accessory. Named “Best Television Fashion Stylist” for her appearances on Entertainment Tonight, The Insider and countless other media outlets, Sarre is the go-to fashion expert for Hollywood’s biggest celebrities.

Hope you enjoy reading her post! xx

The summer heat wave is stretching across the country, but that does not mean you can’t stay stylish and confident even when the sun threatens to melt you. Stay cool, calm and collected with your own stylish touch and with the right amount of inner confidence shinning through for all to see.

Summer Feet

Putting on a cute pair of summer shoes is one way to beat the heat. You’re toes and soles will feel free and breezy in the open air, and you’ll pound down the pavement with confidence in them. You do not necessarily need to purchase a new pair. Mine your closet for shoes from last season, looking for wedge heels, heeled sandals and peep-toed pumps in colors of the rainbow. All of these shoes are still in style this season!

Summer Dress

Heading out to a social event in a cute, simple summer dress is yet another way to stay cool in the summer heat while feeling good about the way you look! Look through your closet for a breezy cotton dress in a light color. Top off your outfit with a floppy straw hat, and you’ll be ready to make an entrance. Avoid anything too heavy that will slow you down during the day, you want the trendy look with the carefree maintenance.

Cool Accessories

Necklace from ASOS

Think of the colors that make you smile in the summer — juicy red strawberries, pink grapefruits, bright green kiwis, ruby red raspberries. Transfer those color wheel thoughts to your accessories, selecting from your cornucopia of fruity-colored jewelry. Don a chunky green necklace that reminds you of grapes. Slip on a pair of dangly red earrings that remind you of apples. Tie a bright yellow scarf around your hair to keep it off your neck. Be creative, and embrace the spirit of fresh, energizing fruit in your accessory selections. Pair these bold colors with a floral wedge heel and an pastel colored denim of a summer red carpet style.

Feeling stylish and confident in the middle of the summer heat does not mean you have to spend any money. Lay out the contents of your closet on your bed and try to look at each piece in a different way. Summer style is about staying cool and colorful, so embrace the resources you have! Strut your stuff this summer season and let your inner fashionista shine!

FOTD- with Sigma Beauty’s Limited Edition Paris Palette

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great week.

Last weekend I went for some Eid shopping with my husband to Mall of the Emirates (how crowded are the malls these days)!!! It was the perfect opportunity for me to try out my new Paris Palette from Sigma Beauty.

The look is pretty simple with a pop pf color. I kept the lips nude, as I did not want to go to the mall with a heavily made up face.

If you have questions about any of the particular products that I used, please comment below.

Eye products- ‘Notre Dame’ on my lid and ‘Orsay’ on my lower lash line (both from Paris Palette), ‘Buck’ on the crease (Naked Palette)

New In from Sigma Beauty- The Limited Edition Paris Palette

Hi my dear friends!

I am so glad it’s finally the weekend here in Dubai. I had such an exhausting week and I am looking forward to just relaxing at home and probably do some shopping (YAAAY!!)

So yesterday, I finally received the limited edition Paris Palette from Sigma Beauty. I first set eyes on this beauty on one of my favorite bloggers DulceCandy87 YouTube channel. Sigma Beauty created this gorgeous palette with the help of 7 beauty bloggers. These 7 beauty experts were sent to Paris and developed 7 shades inspired by the different monuments and landmarks in Paris. How amazing is that?

The palette is so beautifully and attractively packaged, and comes with a large mirror and 8 fabulous eyeshadow colors (I know, there are 7 bloggers, but this palette has 8 shades).

It also includes 2 blushes, 1 highlighter and 2 full sized sigma brushes. AWESOME right? I also bought a kabuki brush that my sister was raving about.

The 7 beauty experts

L-R: Eiffel, Seine, Louvre, Orsay, Elysees, Notre Dame, Triomphe, Versailles

Blushes: Rouge and Peche, Higjlighter: Lumiere

Sigma Eye Shading brush E55 and Large Angled Contour F40

L-R: Eiffel, Seine, Louvre, Orsay, Elysees, Notre Dame, Triomphe, Versailles

L-R: Blushes: Rouge and Peche, Higjlighter: Lumiere (Sorry for the blurry pic:( )

My 2 favorite shades are Orsay and Notre Dame. I really can’t wait to start using this palette.

What do you guys think of the Paris Palette?

Favorite Product of the month- June

It’s time again for my favorite product of the month June. This time it is a hair product. I have read such good reviews about Lush solid shampoos and all Lush products in general, that I couldn’t resist stopping by a Lush store to take a look at what they have.

I already have a pretty good hair routine, but I thought what the heck, I don’t mind trying something new. I picked out the solid shampoo in Cinammon which I was told was good for hairfall. I was also told by the Lush SA that I shouldn’t use this shampoo without conditioner as it could be drying, so I also bought the American Cream conditioner.

I have been using these 2 products for about a month now, and I seriously LOVE them and am addicted. It takes getting used to, using a solid shampoo but after using it about two times I got the hang of it. The cinnamon solid shampoo smells AMAZING. I just wet it and run it through the length of my hair about 3 or 4 times and it does an excellent job of leaving my hair squeaky clean. I store my shampoo in a Lush shampoo bar tin, which keeps my shampoo dry (I make sure I leave the shampoo bar out to dry, before I put it into the tin, to avoid it from melting).

The American Cream conditioner is not as thick in consistency as my other conditioners, but it does the job. What I love the most about it is the scent it leaves on my hair even 2 days after washing which is great.

I will definitely repurchase the shampoo bar once I finish this (I was told it takes about 3 months to run out). It leaves my hair soft, smooth and silky and I am all for using more natural products for my hair. I love the conditioner solely for the smell, but I believe any other conditioner can do the job.

Has anyone tried these products? What other Lush products do you recommend?
